Welcome back after Christmas, we’re so close to the new year. Tomorrow is 2023, can you believe it?
This week everyone is probably deciding on what they would like to accomplish for the 2023 year. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to accomplish things or making goals, so don’t let people deter you from resolutions of any kind.
What I will say is, making the same resolutions over and over aren’t going to get you where you want to go. So make sure you have a plan to get where you want to go. That is why I am making a sort of guide for all of you who want to ensure you reach your goals.
When people start out on their fitness journey, they tend to make a lot of the same mistakes because there is a lot of random information on the internet that makes it hard to fish through. I was one of them, too. It took doing a lot of learning and research on top of going to school for kinesiology to connect with the right people to learn what was legit and what wasn’t.
We discussed diets and we’ve discussed workout splits, now we want to take it a step further and look at supplements. I want to stress that making sure your diet and workouts are on point before looking to supplements as they aren’t a magic pill, unfortunately. Once you decide to add something positive, we want to make sure it really will support the goals you are looking at meeting. Whatever your goals are, let’s look at what your options are at filling in small areas to support them.
When it comes to supplementation we have thousands of items on the list and just as many variations in things like preworkout.
Like what even is citrulline malate? We see it promoted as an ingredient, but why do you take it?
With all of this, we may end up with questions like
What supplements are legit, safe, and effective?
When should I take them?
Should I “stack” them together?
Don’t worry about getting lured in with great marketing or sales pitches or the weird guy at GNC. We are going to break down what’s out there that is legitimate and safe, when you should take them, and what might work best together to give you what you may be looking for.
Remember to save your money if something looks too good to be true — it most likely is. Stick to a list of basics and find what works best for you to see better results for your goals.
We are going to cover a list of basics today and we can get into more intricate ingredients and fine tuning your list after you nail the essentials of supplementation.
